Description

Mobeye CM-Guard CM4000 4G LTE-M/2G GSM alarm dialler

The Mobeye CM-Guard CM4000 is a universal alarm communicator. It can run battery operated or externally powered. When connected to an external power supply, it expands its utility by issuing power outage alerts. Sensors and contacts can be quickly and easily connected to the inputs. The integrated communication module can connect to both the 4G LTE-M and 2G networks, ensuring reliable connectivity.

The Mobeye CM-Guard is the control unit and alarm dialler for monitoring any technical installation. If one of the inputs indicates an alarm status, the CM-Guard sends alarm notifications by app (iOS/Android), telephone call (voice message), text message and/or email. The contacts are adjustable, with choices for the type of alarm. Reporting to a control room (ARC) is also possible.

The Mobeye CM-Guard can run for over a year on a single set of batteries.  A message is sent when the battery voltage is low. When using an external power source (12-24V DC or mains), it also sends “power failure” notifications; this is often the first indication that something is going wrong at the location.

The setup is done in a few simple steps. The compact box can be placed free-standing or the mounting holes can be used to hang the box on a wall or to fix it to a surface.

Universal Alarm Dialler

The Mobeye CM-Guard CM4000 remotely monitors your technical installation and machines. The Mobeye CM-Guard has two NO/NC inputs, for the connection of alarm contacts and sensors. It monitors the status of a device or external sensor, and checks the functioning of a machine or the condition of sensors. When the state changes, the alarm device immediately sends a notification. That way you have full control.

Any potential-free sensor can be connected. The CM-Guard has various setting options, such as automatic switch-on and switch-off times, alarm texts per input, alarm delay, alarm restore messages, repeat notifications and test messages. The communication module offers 4G LTE-M connectivity with a reliable 2G fallback option. This ensures seamless and dependable communication capabilities for your monitoring needs. Batteries are included.

How it Works

Mobeye CM4000

  1. Connect a potential-free contact to one of the inputs of the CM-Guard. This can be a fault signal from an installation, or a sensor with make/break contact.
  2. The CM-Guard detects any status change on the inputs. When connected to external power, it also signals a power failure.
  3. In the event of an alarm, the Mobeye CM-Guard sends alarm notifications by app (iOS/Android), telephone call (voice message), text message and/or email. For the push messages there is a choice between an escalation plan or group message. With the escalation plan, the recipient can confirm the push message, so that the other contacts no longer receive the message. If none of the recipients confirms the push message, a phone call is made. The number of contacts is unlimited.

Typical Applications for Mobeye CM4000

Being a universal alarm communicator, the applications for the Mobeye CM4000 alarm dialer are countless. Any normally open or normally closed contact can be connected. A change of the status of an input will initiate an alarm notification. This makes the unit suited to function as an alarm messenger for many sensors, failure signals and broken wires, e.g. as part of a machine monitoring system. With or without external power supply.

Some examples:

  • Security installers commonly utilise the Mobeye CM-Guard, connecting it to home or office alarm systems to facilitate the sending of text message alerts and voice call confirmation messages whenever the alarm system is triggered.
  • Factory engineers employ the Mobeye CM-Guard by linking it to the failure signals of machinery and air conditioning systems. This setup enables them to receive instant notifications in the event of malfunctions.
  • Pump engineers often install the Mobeye CM-Guard in pump holes to monitor pump operation continuously. For water level monitoring, a water float sensor can be seamlessly connected as needed.
  • To safeguard valuables within cabinets, a magnet contact fixed to the cabinet door can be connected to the Mobeye CM-Guard, enabling effective monitoring.
  • AED (Automated External Defibrillator) cabinets benefit from Mobeye CM-Guard surveillance. It promptly alerts administrators when an AED cabinet is accessed, ensuring the readiness of life-saving equipment.

SIM, Portal & App

All Mobeye monitoring devices require a SIM card for communication. The product comes with a budget-friendly SIM card, which provides direct access to the Mobeye Internet portal. Alternatively, you have the flexibility of using your own SIM card.

SIM
The Mobeye M2M SIM card provides the device with full functionality, allowing access to the Mobeye Internet Portal and App.

With the Mobeye SIM card, communication occurs over the 4G LTE-M network with 2G as a fallback. When you insert your own SIM card, the device utilises the 2G network. Alarm messages are then transmitted via SMS and/or call to a maximum of 5 telephone numbers.

The Mobeye SIM card is PIN-protected and exclusively functions in a Mobeye device. Please refrain from inserting it into another device. For further information about the Mobeye SIM card, visit: mobeye.com/en/sim-cards. The rate for utilising the Mobeye Internet Portal and the SIM card can be found at mobeye.com/en/sim-portal.

Free App for your Smartphone
